Come celebrate the 9th year of the Jakarta Race

In 2011 the Series raised over 80 million for charity with approximately 4,000 people taking part. The Jakarta Race Series is for the whole family.

Come and Join. 5K for all family members, 2.5K or fun, and 100m for children 6 years old and under.

  • 5K runners can join in on the family fun run for FREE.
  • Medals for children who take part in the 5K.
  • Medals (will be presented at the end of the ceremony) for the firt three winners in the team and age     categories.

    Children who are racing the 5K will get MEDALS. Children who are racing the fun run and 100m Kid Dash will get RIBBONS.
    RACE AS A TEAM
     
    THERE ARE TWO TEAM CATEGORIES:
    • Open (including students)
    • Company (including teachers)

    TEAM RULES:
    1. Teams must have 4 members. Any more or less will result in a DQ for your team.
    2. Teams must have at least one or more members of an opposite sex. All men or all women will be DQ.
    3. All Team members must already be registered as Race Series participants. If your fellow team members are      not registered the team will be DQ.
    4. Company Team members must all work for the same company or be a spouse or a child of a company      employee. Sorry no friends etc.
    5. Teachers whom all work for the same school are entitled to form a Company team.
    6. All others can form an Open Team.
    7. Students of a school must join the Open Team Competition (not the Company team).
    8. Finish Times for all Team members will be added up to arrive at your teams finish time. The fastest 3 teams      in both competitions get team medals.
    9. Team membership will be locked one week before the event.
    10. You can change member for subsequent races in the series.

    HOW TO ENTER TEAMS:
    1. Advise your Team Name. Something imaginative Catchy please!!!
    2. Advice Names of your 4 Team members.
    3. Go to 2012 JRS Team Category page and enter your team name and team members.

    Individual Race (5K or Fun Run) Rp. 120,000  
    Child under 12years old Rp. 50,000

    Jakarta Race Series supports a variety of charitable causes. All the causes focus on children's needs in a variety of diffrerent areas:
  • Educational support for the whole duration of the student's education.
  • Medical treatment for children with cancer.
  • Orphans and children in shelters, food, clothing, health care, schooling and a caring home.

    Terms And Conditions
     
    1. Prizes will be presented to the overall 1st, 2nd and 3rd female and male placed winners.
    2. Medals will be presented to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd winners in the age and team categories (No cash prizes     given to age and team categories).
    3. No t-shirt or products will be given to race participants.
    4. Bib transfer to another person is strictly prohibited.
    5. Confirmation of members in a team closes 1 week before the race date. No name changes will be     made after closing date.
    6. Confirmation of members in a team to be made to the race organizers.
    7. Company team members must be employed by the company or spouse/child of an employee.
    8. Company teams include schools.
    9 . Student teams should enter in the open category.
    Notes
     
    The organising committee reserves the right to:
  • ask for proof of identity and age.
  • bar anyone from taking part in the races for whatever reason they deem appropriate.
  • Jakarta Race Series cannot be held responsible for any injuries resulting from attending or taking part in the     Race Series.
  • It is the responsibility of each individual to ensure they are physically fit to take part.
  • Re-schedule of race due to unforeseen circumstances.

    Maximum of 500 entries will be taken for each 5K and 2.5K event. Race results and photos will be posted on www.jakartafreespirit.org
